The Challenge
A Berlin-based SaaS company specializing in enterprise resource planning software wanted to expand into the Gulf market by establishing a physical presence in Qatar. The founders required 100% ownership without a local partner, needed clarity on capital requirements, and sought guidance on the newly implemented Foreign Investment Law provisions allowing full foreign ownership in approved sectors.
Our Solution
Advised the client on Qatar's Foreign Investment Law (Law No. 1 of 2019) and its implementing regulations, confirming that their technology activities qualified for 100% foreign ownership.
Prepared the Memorandum and Articles of Association, drafted the shareholder resolutions, and obtained all necessary legalizations from the German Embassy in Doha and Qatar's MOFA.
