An industrial supplies company serving Qatar's energy sector needed to achieve ICV (In-Country Value) certification to maintain their position as an approved supplier to Qatar Energy and other government entities that increasingly weighted ICV scores in their procurement decisions. The company's initial self-assessment suggested a low ICV score due to heavy reliance on imported products and expatriate workforce.
Our Solution
Performed a detailed ICV pre-assessment, calculating the company's baseline score across all ICV categories: goods, services, workforce, Qatarization, supplier development, and knowledge transfer.
Developed an ICV improvement roadmap identifying practical initiatives to increase the score, including local assembly and value-add operations, preferential sourcing from ICV-certified local suppliers, and workforce development programs.
Implemented quick-win initiatives including registration with local Qatari suppliers for ancillary services, documentation of existing local spend that was previously untracked, and enrollment of employees in skills development programs.
Prepared the complete ICV declaration documentation and coordinated the certification audit with an approved ICV auditing firm.
Created a 12-month ICV sustainability plan to maintain and progressively improve the company's ICV score for future certification renewals.
